장수군, 악취 민원 해결로 살맛나는 지역 만들기 실현

장수군이 장수읍과 장계면 소재지 주변 양돈단지와 오리축사로 인근 마을의 악취 민원을 해결하고 주거 환경 개선을 위해 축사를 매입한다고 15일 밝혔다.
장수군에 따르면 사곡 양돈단지와 신기 오리축사는 마을과 인접해 있어 악취로 인한 주민 불편과 민원이 빈번히 발생해 왔으며 이를 해결하기 위해 장수군은 토지소유자와 축사 매입 및 축산업폐업을 2020년 2월에 완료하기로 협의했다.
군은 매입한 토지와 건물을 정비해 주민을 위한 편의시설 및 공공사업을 추진해 군민들과 관광객들에게 깨끗하고 쾌적한 주거환경을 제공한다는 계획이다.
인근 주민들은 “20여년을 넘게 악취로 창문도 못 열며 살았는데 앞으로는 마음 놓고 편하게 살 수 있겠다”며 “군민을 위한 적극행정에 감사드린다”고 말했다.
장영수 군수는 “앞으로 주민들의 생활환경을 침해하는 혐오시설들의 연차적 처리방안 계획을 수립하고 주민들의 삶의 질을 높이고 맑고 깨끗한 청정장수 만들기에 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다. |
